I think it says interesting things about human psychology that Jandek is revered by anyone: it is because he wants to be left alone to do exactly what he wants. If a musician "presented" by a mainstream record company or media outlet presented this guy he'd be laughed off the stage. But because he is extraordinarily mysterious, people embrace him. It is really intriguing. Plus, I have to say, if all his albums had the funk rhythm section I might be a little more interested.
