This reminds me of when my "bestfriend" kept feeding crap to the only girl that I ever loved. He got her away from me and got her for awhile, still tried to act like a brother, but I got her back. @Allsparkendox Oh dear God...2nd vocalist isn't back up vocalist. Its fucking 2nd vocalist! When Derek and Jason were co-leads, Jake was backup vocalist. Even still: backup vocals are fillers. Guitar (Jason's instrument) is not filler. Lyrical content is not filler. Who ever said I don't put him over Derek? That's just you making idiotic assumptions again. You seriously need to learn how to follow a conversation. You obviously suck at it.

@drummrath2 "Backup vocals don't count." That was referring to Jason after I referred to him as the ex second vocalist. You called him backup. You said backup was filler. I first referred to him as second vocalist. Your argument is weak, you're using my own argument against me. Not gonna work. Sorry. And if he is such a musical idol, why don't you put him over Derek? His music and lyrics top Derek's in my book. Sure Mayday has a good sound. But Go Radio has SUCH powerful lyrics. None compete.

@drummrath2 If you took the parts that Jason Lancaster sang out of every Mayday Parade song, the song would be shit. TCFFY "Break down the door to your heart" part for instance. Derek nor Jake could EVER have the power singing those lines like Jason Lancaster did. You insulting Jason by saying he was just "filler" is what makes me mad. Not your opinion. @Allsparkendox If their success depended on him, they would be struggling as a band right now. Last I saw, they are doing pretty damn well. Having a favorite band doesn't make you a fan girl. Being insanely butthurt over someone having a different opinion about some issue regarding that band, and claiming you know everything about them is being a fan girl. Back up vocals don't drive the song like the instruments and lead vocals do. They are just filler. Seasoning, not the meat.

Jason has a more passionate and powerful voice then Derek Sanders ever will. I've been a fan because I love their music, and it's helped me through a lot. Doesn't make me a fan girl for having a favorite band. I just love music. And if backup vocals aren't important, then neither are ANY of the instruments. Because your voice is an instrument...

Sure, backup vocals are important, but not enough to be listed as a vocalist of the band. Jake doesn't have a better voice than Derek. Just not true. @drummrath2 First off, i'm a guy, and Mayday has been my favorite band for 6 years. I CARE about backup vocals, especially when they almost have a better voice then their lead. Jason Lancaster was the best thing that ever happened to Mayday Parade. And I know my Mayday Parade. And THEY asked ME. So fuck off.

@Allsparkendox Backup vocals don't count. Whenever someone says "who is the singer for this band?" they mean lead vocals. No one really cares who the backup vocals are. Stop trying to "prove how much you know" about Mayday. Sigh...fan girls....
