The sound mod enabler
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=141760#SME

The first link contains the replacement sounds, ownload the sound mod enabler and then follow the instructions in the readme.

"To install it, you need to use 7zip to open the archive of minecraft.jar (it's in the bin folder of minecraft). Make a backup of minecraft.jar. When you open the archive of minecraft.jar drag the bz.class file into it and delete the META-INF folder if you haven't already from modding. Then put the DO_NOT_UPDATE file into the resources folder (in the minecraft folder.)"

  • i still hear the cave sounds on the very end

  • @MrSuperPatty5 lol yes that was just a video I found with ambient cave sounds

  • It doesn't work, I tried putting them in, I downloaded the reader for OGM to check if they were legit, (they were) but unfortunately it turns out minecraft overwrites the files you put in "ambient" and replaces them with old ones. I did everything you said to do too, any suggestions?

  • @Helicoptermayhem I've updated the video to solve the issue

  • Why do they all take KB if they are empty?

  • @dyldylou Because they're the same file just so quiet you cant hear it. I wanted to keep the tracks the same length just to be safe and not break it.

  • if is not working install sound enabler

  • to dziala??

  • thx it worked :D

  • @MrHenrik102 doesn't work.

  • i thinks it is an easyer way if you go to ambient sounds and only delete cave folder i tryed that i have not tested it works but i think it does

  • @HairyHog77

minecraft.jar, open minecraft.jar up with any archiving program, drag bz.class into it, delete meta-inf and there you go.

  • and i can't find bz.class

  • when u said put the bz.class file into it, what do i drag it into?

  • Or you could just stuff the 'cave' full of dirt.

  • Right click the sound and click properties and check in "read-only" if you don't then the cave sounds will be back to re-haunt Minecraft
