All dying out actors which at that point, could barely ranked as "C" grade. Granger was finished, Rooney was squashed like bug. No one important in the film. I give Two Thumbs and Toes Down.

This is some sort of prelude to The Dirty Dozen, or some shit like this. Conscropting criminals to do your fightig for you - a thoroughly Anglo-American concept - particularly American - thus, for example, Micky Rooney. And the Anglo-American cause is definately something which would attract the criminal element to its ranks..Of course, this movie is somewhat of an insult to Irish Republcanism. Irish Republicans fighting for British interests ? They'd have to have been the simple-minded dregs.
