Bringing solar power to an isolated mountain village in Lika, Croatia --
A family of war returnees from the remote village of Ajderovac, near Srb in the Lika region still lives without electricity. To help them, UNDP has secured construction of a solar photovoltaic system which will be installed on the roof of their stable. The system will supply electricity to this six-member family but also to three other neighbouring families, showcasing what might be an energy solution for other remote areas of Croatia, such as islands and mountain villages.
