@envoy2500 I agree, we've both made some valid points. I know it's difficult to find a Christian that actually acts the part, especially with regards to homosexuality which for some reason has been made out to be this enormous sin. Well, I encourage you to continue studying and searching for the truth. We need more Christians that aren't afraid to use their God-given reason and intelect. God bless!

@Gethsemaneful you are by far the most level-headed person i have ever had a discussion with on this topic. we both made some valid points but i will have to continue to respectfully disagree with calling it wrongdoing. there are plenty of things that are wrong but i do not believe this is one of those cases. thank you for being a good example of what a christian should sound like in an argument =)

@envoy2500 I agree. I have several homosexual and bisexual friends that have been devasted by supposed Christians claiming that God hates them, which is not true. He certainly does forgive, but like he said to the woman who commited adultery, "go, and sin no more." Jesus doesn't call us to be nice, to not offend, to let everyone do whatever. He calls us to love and love does not rejoice in wrongdoing but with the rod and staff tenderly corrects in patience, understanding and gentleness.

@Gethsemaneful oh right right. i forgot it came out of leviticus. which is a set of arbitrary rules set up to keep the people back then clean and healthy. which it did a very good job of and was very relevant when it was written and for hundreds no thousands of years afterwards. it is not relevant any more though. acts 13:39 states that "by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses." that sounds to me like homosexuals

@envoy2500 to even attempt even if they wanted to. And by the way, the prohibition on homosexuality in action was actually started by the Jews some couple of thousand years before the early Church, so your logic is flawwed.

@envoy2500 You're right, one can have homosexual attractions and still be a Christian. However, if you look at the verse on homosexuality in the Bible, they denote an action taking place. It is when you act by lust or having sex or masturbating, which is the same for heterosexuals by the way, than that is where the sin lies. Sex is ment to be a complete self giving of oneself to another of the opposite sex. This self giving includes ones fertility which is something that is impossible for gays
