A Garden Grows on Stanton Street

Sunday August 19, people came to 181 Stanton Street and helped claim an abandoned lot, for a community space and garden. This wasn't the 1980's it was 2012.
People brought their friends and family and shovels and garbage bags and tools and they got garbage that's been sitting there for years, and within a couple of hours made this space look like there was life in a place that had just been an eyesore.
Some plants were saved, some more were planted. Neighbors were happy and hopeful.
