I know this happened 2 years ago, but I still feel bad for this CSR shmuck. Calls like this don't happen because a few individual CSR's are jerks, they happen because part of these CSR's job performance is based on how many canceling customers they retain.
Yes, this John guy could have handled himself better, but calls like this wouldn't exist without a corporate policy that confuses customer service with sales.

Yah I have the same problems with the CSR's when I'm trying to social engineer user account information from them to take LEET sn's... it's shame it has to be this way.

To be fair, "John" was just following his corporate orders.
But he really screwed up when he got mad at the customer.

On the other hand, this is a case of a customer and a CSR, not a guy and his girlfriend.
Do we really have to extend "its not you, its me" to the cancellation of internet service now?

I feel a bit for the the customer service guy, he doesn't actually do anything that bad. Vincent doesn't really engage with him and the guy's job is to understand why the customer isn't satisfied. It's just standard customer retention techniques. The guy is genuinely finding out, as it seems Vincent had usage on the account. If he said he's changing ISP, or he's cutting the internet out of his life, or a logical reason, I'm sure the guy would have sped the call up.

I wouldn't want to talk to this fatass beast of a human either. If you can't fit through two sliding doors, you don't deserve rights.
