@hack451 When you go to work for the mafia, I don't think people should feel bad for you because your superiors are the ones telling you to throw bodies into the river.
-
i know this guy ;)

@Shubael1809 Maybe you could make him a quilt about the guy getting fired, since he doesn't have one

I don't get how people are actually defending the AOL Rep in here, saying Vince was rude. Regardless of his political affiliation, this has nothing to do with that. People complained for years about AOLs customer service. And he just exposed it, even if he was cursing up a storm, he has all the right in the world to be frustrated. He is the consumer, if he says cancel the account, then that's what the rep should do. Obviously he had 0 interest in keeping it.
-
"Canciling the account will be the worst thing that.."
I'm curious on what he was going to say LOL
-
and this is why AOL is broke.....millions in the hole.
-
Remain polite!?!?! LoL. What a joke.

I had the same thing with 3 in the UK... wish I recorded it
I know this happened 2 years ago, but I still feel bad for this CSR shmuck. Calls like this don't happen because a few individual CSR's are jerks, they happen because part of these CSR's job performance is based on how many canceling customers they retain.
Yes, this John guy could have handled himself better, but calls like this wouldn't exist without a corporate policy that confuses customer service with sales.
