HiTechnic WallBot - an EOPD Based Wall Follower Robot

The HiTechnic WallBot uses an EOPD sensor and an Ultrasonic sensor to drive along walls, handling both inside and outside corners, without actually touching the walls. The robot is based on the new HiTechnic Trike Base, a general purpose NXT robot driving base.

Building instructions for the HiTechnic Trike Base will soon be available for download from www.hitechnic.com/models.

@36Guli This robot is designed to be build with the 1.0 or 2.0 NXT wheels but it could probably be adapted to use the RCX wheels. It would require some modification to the caster wheel so that the robot is still level and it would also make the robot very fast which may be trickier to control.

That is one heck of a good wall follow...it got soo close to the wall at some points but still didnt hit it. good job!
