  • Dogs are beaten and hung and boiled while they are still alive so that the meat will be tender. This is intolerable and disgusting. Then for people to actually promote the end result of this torture is just as disgusting and intolerable. The people are laughing about this and it's obvious they do not understand the horror behind their seemingly innocent meal. Animal advocates are fighting to stop this because of the torture these dogs go through.

  • 0.5 or 5%. Your intention to minimize the numbers of Chinese dog eaters with guess are still greater than that of Korean. Why do you insist on taking pride on eating bugs, monkey brains and etc... yet, tried to exclude or reduce the numbers of Chinese who eat dog meat.? That is so weird. Homo sapiens consumed other homo sapiens according to the hypothesis. Do you predict that's how Chinese(omnivores) will become? LOL

  • @waterturki Population that consume dog meat in China is FAR less than 5%, I would say perhaps 0.5%. Also, resourcefulness is a virtue. Homo sapiens are biologically born omnivores, absolutely nothing wrong with eating any of the food items you listed above. A balanced, diverse diet is the first step of having a healthy life. Go eat boring pork, chicken, and beef all your life if you want. Don't criticize others for leading a refreshing exciting life of exotic food.

  • @devilhunterred 15 or 18% out of Korean population that consume dog meat are far less than 5 or 8% of Chinese proportionately. Plus, Koreans don't get into eating insects, monkey brains, bear feat, bird nest, crocodile, rodents, shark fins, chicken uterus, and you name it, Chinese eat them.

  • @waterturki Do a search on wikipedia on Dog meat, read the differences between Chinese and Korean consumption. Dog meat consumption in China is now decreasing due to pressure groups and lobbyists persuading the central government to pass laws banning it. In Korea, dog meat is still consumed nationwide all year around especially in the summer.

  • @devilhunterred When I read your comment,"Koreans consume dogs Much more than Chinese do." I felt bias in it and that was the reason I made the comment about China. It's not true that Koreans consume dogs more then Chinese. Where did you get that figure? Maybe it was your impression nothing more. If your assumption is accurate then so is mine about China.

  • @waterturki Actually it's an universal Asian belief that you are what you eat. If you eat the heart of a bear, your heart will be as strong as a bear. If you eat the eyes of a fish, your eyesight will improve, etc. This belief holds true for all Asian countries and cultures, don't just blame this on the Chinese. Actually live in Asia, study its culture and live its culture before you make completely untrue and biased opinions accusing one single nation you obviously have no knowledge of.

  • @devilhunterred Same with food. Chinese are categorical about what they eat. If you eat ants or bats it good for bla bla bla. Right?

  • @devilhunterred I meant all humans and I didn't mean to blame China for everything but China plays huge part in illegal animal trades more so then any other country. Did you know that fish are almost extinct in the Sea of China because of over fishing. Chinese fishermen cross sea border of Korea illegally to fish. Demand from Korea is just a small speck compare to China. Chinese bought 25% of world's gold recently. Why? because it brings good luck, it's there tradition. Right?

  • @waterturki Yes, blame all animals struggling in China, forget about Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Philippines who are all major players in illegal animal smuggling, not to mention Koreans and Japanese play a big part too. There won't be supply if there is no demand, and where do you think some of the demand for these exotic animals come from? Korea and Japan.
