  • Ger261,

What will happen if you go above the 1800 RPM and then close the switch between the generator and the grid ? ....If I understand induction generator...there should not be any spark or explosion...since the generator need the grid in order to develop the voltage and the frequency..right ?? or I'm totally confused...

    Thanks

    Tony

if you go over 1800 rpm, when turning on the generator (induction motor) that will have a high combined (torque) counter-rotation, which will lead to a great effort the explosion engine.

the frequency does not change, the generator will not burn quickly, take a few minutes or hours.

  • what is the cost per kw/h of your setup?

  • the cost of kw/h is 0,66 reais or 0,36 dollars, without adding the heating of water

  • first accelerate the diesel engine, after achieving synchronous rotation (1800 rpm for 60 Hz and 1500 rpm for 50 Hz)

I turn on the induction generator and will accelerate the diesel engine to achieve the rated motor amperage

generator connected directly to the engine, no clutch

    Muchas gracias.

  • I have a question...did you connected the induction motor directly to the grid ? ...If you did ...does it matter if you start the Diesel Engine first ..so that you start to generate power and then you close the circuit break to connect to the grid ? ....or you allow current from the grid to start the induction motor...and then you start your diesel engine ? ...Do you use a clutch between the diesel engine and the induction motor ?

  • Need a water cooled engine. Recover the jacket water and lube oil rejected heat as well. Can even recover ambient heat if the engine and generator are mounted in a force ventilated duct or box.

  • it would be better if someone was talking explaining what was going on
