Two days of a massive striped bass blitz during the Montauk striper migration of 2008. Paul Dixon had it wired and kindly ferried us around to observe & video the frenzy. Fly fishing took place the first hour or so, then it was store the rods and HD video cameras on deck for the duration. Thanks Paul!

  • @fish111238 Thanks very much Bob. Bob Popovics spent quite a bit of time sharing his HD video & mac expertise with me over the last couple years and I'm very thankful. Paul is just top notch and it was super of him to share those special days with us. Steve Farrar

  • this video is amazing.just another way to show the magic of Montauk

  • A friend of mine has lived on the north shore of Mass. his whole life and he has told me many times about the fall blitz and has described this kind of frenzy. Would love to experience it sometime with an 8 or 9 wt fly rod in my hand . All i CAN SAY IS WOW!!! Awesome video. Thanks for sharing !!!

  • can we say boilage anyone? legendary footage, thanks!

  • Great stuff, Steve!

  • Wow! Were the fish feeding, or was that a migration behavior that just appeared to be a feeding frenzy? It would seem like fishing in the midst of that would result in snagged fish. The guys fishing on the beach did not seem to have fish on.

Thanks! That was something to see.

  • Wow! That is probably the coolest video I've watched on youtube!! Just amazing. Makes it double tough now looking outside and seeing the ground covered with snow!!
