Funky Boogaloo -- Funk -- Instrumental

This is serious, old school funk boogaloo bass. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I am a bass player who dabbles in guitar. I have been playing for 36 years. This is the real boogaloo bass style you do not hear much any more. I also know the boogaloo rhythm guitar style a bit and use it on this recording too.

This is recorded on the 1974 Ibanez Jazz Bass. The guitar is a 1975 Electra Les Paul Super Rock #2245 guitar. The effects were built by me.

Nice. How did you find the age of the bass? My ibanez is before they serialized them. Which I believe was before 1975.

Thanks. If you look at the video starting at about 0:30 you can see it the blue pedal on the table. It is a "Venus Chorus" that I bought in Taiwan in 1983 when we were playing with The Vespas and I modified it a wee bit. It is just the analog chorus with the speed turned way up beyond max.
