  • Hello, that´s very good - I´ll try it next time, when the wind and weather let me go out on a hill near my home town.

Many thanks for such a wonderfull demonstration.

Greetings from a german hedge flyer

  • Hi Beheimer

The one KEY 'trick' to remember is NOT to look at the WING.... but rather TURN... to 'look' towards the WIND... to 'Warp the Wing'... the LESS brake you use the BETTER :-)

    Have FUN!

    MH

  • Brilliant! BTW, The National Ballet phoned. ;-)

...I hope for a breeze tomorrow... to practice here in the Canadian Rockies

    Thanks Murray! Happy New Year

Health and a wealth of happiness!

  • Hi Groganzolla

I spent 25+ years providing photographic coverage for UK Nightclubs/Discos photographing events/pop music stars/TV - Film Actors personal appearances, so often your only working for an hour in an evening and spending 4-5 hours on the dance floor, probably for fitness about the same as doing several marathons EVERY week! :-)

PS I'm more Jazz/Disco 'free style' dance than 'ballet' ;-)

    HAPPY New Year

  • @murrayhay Happy New Year to you and yours to Bro :D I hope your sis is doing well ! For the record - even I was able to do a lot of this type of 'Harness Control' ground handling after just a few days 're-training'. 'Harness Control' is only given by Mr Murray Hay and it should be made the standard world wide.

  • @614myles Yes I totally agree and do your own research before getting any training anywhere ! This is not a sport to be taken lightly - if a training body/club will let you 'run' off a hill like a lemming on your first or second day of training then there is something WRONG with their training. I can be 100% sure you will not go wrong with any training from Murray though - as a matter of 'fact' I would stake my life on it as I've had training from UK/AUS/Asia instructors before ;)

  • I agree fergus im new the sport and finding out as much as i can. Before taking it up watched loads of clips on you tube seen lots of accidents some fatal if the bhpa took more notice on murrays way of training it could only improve the safety of the sport

  • Hi Fegrus (Happy New Year mate!)

Andy Groves who arrived just after this was filmed did a fairly good job of this (not filmed)

The film from the last part/end of the day, inc. Top to Bottom East Lomond to Falkland Village (1,200ft) is being edited just now :-) Should be 'live' by the morning.
