  • is this a joke ? Annoyingly fast vibrato, poor acting(he's about as scary as my grandmother), dull voice.....the fact that he's one of today's leading baritones is sad.

  • He does have a dull voice. I agree with that, but I like his interpretation. I don't find his acting bad at all. Most Rigolettos I find to not have the acting skills required for the part, and Gavanelli is one of the few who does. I don't see why he *has* to be scary.

  • Bravo Paolo !!

  • This voice must be listened "live"! I have assisted to 3 performances of Rigoletto and 3 of Nabucco with him in the main rol, in different theatres, and it was amazing! One of the biggest Rigolettos and Nabucco!

  • This video does not show Gavanelli's Rigoletto at anywhere near its best. I would urge detractors to look up his 1994 video of this scene here on YouTube, from the production with Sumi Jo.

  • @misslucia74 concordo con lei! Fa proprio schifo! IL fatto che questo "artista" canti è un mistero....

  • @osvaldoutube: Paolo Gavanelli is a perfect singer...

  • @grubiforever a me piace

  • Es un monstruto. Josepinno tambien. Bravissimo

  • anche le masse artistiche fanno pena! provate a sentire un'opera in Scala e ascoltare l'orchestra e il coro. E dire che qui sono all'opera di paris.....non è molto meglio di un nostro teatro di provincia
