Dawgside cockpit test in F1 96 rFactor (Display)

testing my 80-90% finished "sim cockpit" after assembling and setting up the FREX SimCon Motion for the first time...´
The game is rFactor and the mod is F1 96 (track: Montreal)...
The display is a 17" lcd with a "boxed" fresnel lens in front ... so the camera doesn´t get the full picture from this angle...but YOU will get the picture! ;-)

How's the fresnel lens? Does it add a lot to the size? Does it affect image quality and performance? Do you recommend one? Or rather 3, I'm building a 3 monitor setup :)

It improves alot ... specially build into a tube or box like i did ... from screen edges to lens edges (not same size) ... painted black inside

Not so great for bystanders though ;) ... but for the one directly in front its a damn cheap way to get something big ... dont remember the scaling.

as for multiple monitors ... i think its possible ... i actually thought about it myself because i think with a clever design you could eliminated the borders between the displays
