The '67 Ford commercial I really want to see again is the one showing the 2-door hardtop Galaxie being driven off the Olympic ski jump at Lake Placid, to demonstrate how tough the Fords were. If anyone has it, please post it!
the first car I ever owned was a 67 Fairlane 500 two door hard top (similar to the one seen in this commerical) with a 289 engine and bench seats.. I gave it back to my family many years ago and there are days I miss it.. you always remember your first.
My parents were moving me (well, them too) from CA to TX in the summer of 1966 and we saw those giant letters "LTD BY FORD XL" on the coast below the highway where they were filming this comercial. They don't show all the words in this commercial, but no special effects there. they were HUGE. And I was a 12 year old car nut. This is embedded in my brain forever.
Sorta sounds like Ed Ames singing.
