We were happy. We bought this cage at the germany company, because ours in SLovenia are very very expensive. We have 2 ferrets and there is plenty room for maybe the third ferret, since we want them to have lots of space, to feel as comfrtable as possible. The cage has 3 floors, whole floors so there is lots of room to walk around and play. other cages have floors but not whole. they can be higher than this cage. this cage suppose to be 160 cm, but its realy 150 cm. the third floor is a little less higher than the first two. Also only on the third floor, the highest you can put liittle ferrets hanging homes. our ferrets havent lived together before. they each had his and her own cage. we payed for this cage 170 eur. this is a realy good price, since we were searching for a good cage about 2 to 3 months. the cage is realy HUGE and when you see it in reality it looks even more huge. comparing to the ones 2 we had for now. our ferrets understand each other realy fine. at the begining they were kind of rugh and we realy did not want them to think fighting until bleeding is fine. we heard from others that this is normal. but we teach them from day one to be kind and gental. with Janko, boy, who was bought in a shop, which suppose to be the worst desicion, was actually the best desicion. he was 8 weeks old and we got him at the wright time, to teach him the excepted behaviour. he was never a hard bitter when being a baby boy. later on, when he wanted to do something, he showed on his way, but he quickly learned that is not ok. When we got the second ferret a baby girl, also 8 weeks old, she was different. We think because she is a girl. More fighting. It took me a lot of time, to get her calm down and feel safe. I learned at the first ferret that they are the kind of animals who need lots of time to get use to, to except people, space. I took me a week to get her calmed and not biting for no reason. We did not use no pain method when she was biting us at the beginning. she bit very hard. she is more stronger than the boy. I suppose girls have to be, cause of the babies. We use the technic understanding. Later on she showed her strong will. specialy at her own things, when they had to be moved out of the cage to be cleaned. But now she learned, the things come back and she does not need to be panicing. At the begining they were not together all the time, excatlly we let them out separetly, cause for the baby girl there was lots going on. Also we believe each person or animal needs her and his own space to grow up.Specially at the beginning. They had a good contact from the start, just a bit ruf most of the weeks. Now after 2 months they play totaly Cool. No real hard bitting. Of course there is lots of persistance behind from us and telling to the ferrets what is ok and what is not ok. Janko and Metka are friends. We have nothing to worry. The girl does a lot of biting in things. She destroyed lots of toys already. The boy never bites. He is an explorer. Every new thing, whatever it is, he has to look in, smell it and bring maybe something out. When going out with the boy is not like going out with a dog. more like going out with a small child. Step by step, waiting long time and than suddenly running in the wrong direction.:) We are planning to make a small yard for them, cause they realy enjoy being outside, fresh air makes them feel good. The girl is 4 months old, the boy is 7 months old. The girls has lots of energy still, the boy is so lazy. sleeps most of the day and than wakes up and needs excersise.I never had any idea i would own a ferret with my husband, but here i am a ferret mommy My husband wanted a ferret and now we have two. If anyone would tell me what will happen to me in the future it probably would not be half as fun as it is. Of course its no fun all the time, but you have to count the happy times and succeses . I cant wait for the baby ferrets

@GROMINBLX odrasel dihur lahko ugrizne do krvi. zato je pomembno, da ga socializiraš od malega. nazaj poti ni.

Slišalo se je tako kot pri muci. To smo rešili z zadnjim ukrepom, ki sem ti ga napisala. Potem se je popolnoma podredila in sprejela mene za šefico.Moža pa še kdaj pa kdaj malo grickne za šalo.SLišala sem, da se dihurji igrajo tako do krvi iz prve roke, toda midva tega enostavno nisma mogla sprejet.To potem za mene ni socializiran dihurček.Midva sva vsa možna nasilja takoj prekinila in poslala vsakega v svojo kletko.Naše dva se zelo lepo razumeta med seboj,z muco in psičko.Nobene krvi in nič.

časa, da sprejmejo vse.Punčke se mi zdi, da so še bolj komplicirane.Naša Metka je potrebovala 7 do 14 dni, da je sprejela mene, okolico in kletko.Bedela sem skoz nad njo.Ko sem ji pucala kletko se je zelo razburila.Vsaka sprememba njo zelo razburi.Janko jo je bil zelo vesel, ko je videl, da ima družbo, ampak je kar naprej silil v njo, ona pa se je bala še okolice tako, da smo jih nekaj časa ločeno spuščali.Metka je hotela precej časa biti šefica vsega in je pihala, če kaj ni bilo po njeno.

Doma imava psa, mačka in dva dihurja. Mačke so z mano odkar sem bila dojenčica, pes pa je moj 3, dihurja prva:)) Ko primerjam vse te žvali med seboj lahko povem, da dihurji rabijo najdalj časa, da se navadijo nove kletke, tebe, nove okolice. zato je pomembno, da si blizu, da te vidijo, lahko pa da se branijo dotika. Pes in muca ko ju dobiš te takoj sprejmeta za svoja in nikoli ne pomislita, da bi jima lahko škodoval, dočim dihurji so lahko zelo odklonilni na začetku.Potrebujejo kar nekaj
