  • The Capablanca vids are great, I have watched all your videos and they help me improve my game :)

Thanks for helping me to learn chess!

Btw, is your middle name Garech?

  • That's great, glad you like them and that they're helping you! Yes Garech is my middle name, why do you ask??

  • I searched the name Godley on Facebook, sorry, didn`t mean to be creepy or something! :)

  • I thought as much! No probs. Oh, and I don't usually have my hair as it is in the facebook picture!! =0)

  • heh nice vid as usual, but what advice do u have for a person to imporove their skills besides just playing chess over and over again

  • Well, study is a very important element, just like with anything else - learning endgame theory, postional skills for the middlegame, and so on - there are dozens of little tricks and tactics etc that will improve your game massively. I advise getting some books along these lines of you don't have any already. The series published by "Gambit" are excellent. Hope this helps, and all the best,

    Sean

  • @SeanGGodley Is it possible to add you on facebook?

If yes please give a link and have a good day. :)

  • @geekorthodox9 -- Thank you VERY much for mentioning that Capablanca's book "Chess Fundamentals" is available on the Internet in pdf format. I quickly found it. Great book (as Sean Godley has shown in his video series). Again, many thanks.

  • Capablanca was a master at maximising effectiveness of his pieces and unrelenting pressure on the opponents position.

  • can we acquire this middle game skills . if yes how many years you should take
