Kimber 1911 Firearm Safety

A lot of fuss and hubbub gets raised about certain firearms with no basis in fact. In this video, I'm trying to educate people about the 4 safety rules, and show the individual safeties on a 1911 design pistol.

The person who says something that will just further inflame the anti-gun crowd (with the trigger finger motion), or the person who's trying to educate people in a well-spoken manner? My compliments on the use of the word 'synecdoche', but I'm afraid you failed the manners test when you launched into name calling.

just wondering, how much does a kimber model cost? I've been hearing they're more exspensive than the origional colt

@S3CT10N88 Kimbers can be pricey, and I don't necessarily feel they're worth the premium. They've had a lot of QC issues in the past few years. Colts are expensive too, though. Heck any good 1911 is expensive. I think the best balance of cost and quality these days is probably a Springfield Armory Loaded model. (And last I knew, Kimbers started at $700, but that can vary by region, and with inflation will likely only go up.)

If the police are the only ones with firearms that means whoever controls them has power over the populace. I'm all for police, but it' good that there are checks in place so that police don't break down doors of law abiding citizens. If someone invades my home and threatens my family, you're damn right that I will not hesitate to defend them. If that means taking the criminals life, so be it. It was his decision to break the law and threaten me in the first place - his fault he got shot.
