Like farbschlacht, I believe the inside of the ears should never be clipped. MK says a horse at grass needs hair in its ears to keep out flies, etc. but a stabled horse doesn't. But I have seen a horse absolutely tormented by hay seeds and sawdust in its clipped, bare ears. You should just gently pinch the two edges of the ear together and trim off the hair that sticks out. You can still keep the horse tidy looking. I don't believe in clipping off all their whiskers and eye lashes either!

Clipping is actually SO fun, i love it so much hheee. The pony at my yard was suchh a star, he actually just stood there.. and we clipped his WHOLE body, everything! :P (except like, part of the face.) he didn't even bat an eye, I did his ears, everything <3 i want my own clippers now.. :/ too bad theyre like wayyy expensive.
