Lauralee - it is foolish to think it is "either / or" . The fact is that human overbreeding is causing great havoc on this planet and human choices are most often cruel and exploitive. We need good birth control. We can argue about the limits of this planet - but there are limits. We are pushing other species off the earth and must stop breeding and stop being cruel.  Really, lauralee do you predicate your kindness to all beings only on humans overbreeding?
