i was very wary about the active pickups tho, i had a ltd viper 400 and it had the emg 81/85 setup and it was a souless pit when it came to tone. the vex nv is the most balanced guitar i have ever played, it was one of the first electric guitars that inspired me with it's awesome cleans. how does the delux sound?
