@ChrisEsty777 I think that it is actually correct that God did send His Son, Jesus, to be crusified. It sounds weird I know, but hear me out. Jesus was sent to save us, to save us take our blame from the Father. The Father had to punish our sin because He is perfect and sin can not dwell with Him. In order for us to be saved though, there had to be a sacrifice. Jesus was sent to be that sacrifice, that is why He is the Messiah, because He is the Lamb that was fortold to come in the Old Testament

I'm not sure why people in the comments are reacting to the line "You crucified your Son for me," it's totally correct to say that. The Father sent His Son, His own Eternal Son, out of His own bosom for the designed purpose of being the sacrifice of death to save from sin; what God the Father wants done, is done, and he wanted his own son to be killed on the cross. Isaiah says, "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief." The song praises God's plan before time to save man.

Ohh.. How sad.. The song is great, but there is one line that fails to praise our God. I HOPE THEY DO ANOTHER VERSION OF THIS WITH THE REVERSED LYRICS

At 1:52 they say, "You crucified your Son for me." The Bible says, "God gave His only begotten Son," but that is not the same as saying, "He crucified Him." To say the Father (Yahweh) crucified His Son (Yeshua) is blasphemous! The Romans crucified Him at the demand of the people who hated Him. And He willingly went to the cross. He died for us. But He was not tortured and killed by the Father. Read the Bible people, and stop praising false messages!

Should it be "Your Son was crucified for me"?
