Darned shame. The Swan Drive-In in Blue Ridge, Georgia is still chugging along after all those years. There were some good movies shown on those screens; both good movies and good drive ins are largely no longer with us.

I hate seeing Drive in movie theaters destroyed. What a horrible thing. They made the landscape of America a really beautiful and magical place. Now it's Movie Theater marquees that are being destroyed. No more single theaters being built. All Cineplexes. Living in America is like watching your childhood being hauled off in a dump truck.

Watching the STAR LITE get torn down was kind of sad, so, the goofy Sanford and Son narration helped soften the blow. I just watched the 4 part Ohio trip...Very cool. This video brought me back to Earth. There used to be sooooooooooooooo many drive in theaters! What happened? The bowling alleys lost a few but they still survive. Someone mentioned golf courses, they are everywhere! But drive ins are so few and far between now. I wonder what the star lite snack bar looked like?
