In Horsemanship pairs, two riders must ride a pattern in synch. The goal is to have rider and horse movements matching as much as possible.

  • ya true i just like the paint horse

  • @quartercross neither one of the girls have a western pleasure horse, yes, they have the trot and such, but the Paint's head it WAY to high and the girl has the reins pulled to tight, as does the bay's rider but the bay's head is lowered more, a proper western pleasure mount has a lowered head and a loose rein and the ride looks effortless. With work both horses could be amazing, WP horses, but this is a 4-H show Cut them some slack goodness its not the World AQHA show!

  • And at lease ponybox, palopony, and I gave positives and negatives about the pair. You never said anything positive about the bay and never nothing negative of the Paint, there is always something they can both improve on and if you really were able to judge horses CORRECTLY you would hit on the positives and the negatives and not just one or the other.

  • ummmm???? U hav it all rong!!!!!!!! The bay rider looks like on enexperienced rider because she look sloppy and out of porportion and she looks very out of control and bumpy and slouchy

  • i agree with ponybox, Everything shes said is true and the bay is a much better horse, and has a much better rider, the bay horse looks like its young too, so i would cut it some slack. The paint on the other hand looks like it is a great horse but is taking advantage of the inexperienced rider. I think the bays rider handles her horse very well and i think once they master that trot they have great potential. And idk bout the fake tails? they are pretty thick huh?

  • by the way can sombody tell me is those horses have fake tails? Because if they dont that would be amazing

  • ummm i completly disagree with ponybox because they bay horse is not just a tad fast but is very very fast, and the bay rider has couch potato posture and and a very very bouncy seat but thre paint on the other hand has a very nice little walk-trot like a western pleasure horse should and the paint rider has a very nice seat and pretty posture Paint and rider are far better

  • I disagree with palopony. I thought the bays rider and the horse was a much better team, out of the 2. The paints stride was way to short and the bays was just a tad fast. The bays rider had a much nicer seat than the paints. The paints rider was bouncing around way to much. They both could have used a lowering of the head. This was a very good team for elementary division. But all in all I think the bay was a much nicer horse, and had a much better rider. I am a retired AQHA judge.

  • great job. nice horses but the bad points are the bays trot is fast, the paints head is high, and the bay ride dosent hav a very good seat, good points are the paint has a nice trot, the bay has a great headset the paint rider has great posture, and the bay looks a little more into it. but great job!!!!!
