Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do female love space-travel?
(2) What is the motivation that cause females to become astronaut?
(3) How does space-travel benefiit a female in her personal development?
(4) What are the social values demonstrated by female astronaut?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

@BlueSkyes9112006 This happens alot actually, if two stations are using directional antennas you may only be able to receive one side of the convo. That's why when want to talk, you listen for a while first, and then ask if the frequency is being used. If one station is listening to another's transmissions and you just cant hear the one stations transmissions you may interfere if you transmit.

@BlueSkyes9112006 Well its mainly because of the situation. The school is talking to the space station, which means they probably have a beam antenna aimed in the direction of the space station. The space station is sending its signals down toward the earth for anyone in range to receive. If you on earth somewhere you will be able to receive the space stations signals but most likely not the grade schools signal unless your fairly close to the school.

Very awesome! Going to sit the test for my first license in May of 10. Very excited about it :-) I have possibly a silly question. It sounds to me like there's just one side of the convo going on. Am I missing something or is the grade school just hard to hear? I think this stuff is all so neat. :-) 73s

Awesome! Just curious, which band did this QSO occur? I assume on VHF (2m/70cm)?

Yup, the ISS amateur radio downlink frequency is 145.8 and the uplink is 437.8. I usually only hear packet data but occasionally voice comms can be heard. I wasn't even using a fancy antenna, just an MFJ 1/4 wave groundplane.
