  • Here we see how they make the cheap 20 dollar version of the katana you just bought from a REAL smith

  • @Breathor the situation is changing very fast,so you better buy more now hehe!

  • Wow,this vid got alot of panties in a ruffle,Im just happy you posted this vid, these guys are very talented to pump out hand forged blades so quik, any fool can see that these arent ment to be combat ready swords to be used in Championship Cutting compatitions.Im sure these guys could make that kind of blade too,but I bet they make more money making these.

  • @MrWer1138 We just show the process of our ordinary sword,Actually Mr.Zhu is the first bladesmith in china who can forge the real watered steel blade. Even now he keeps on hand forge blade by laminating and folding of steel and iron ore, while the others just make by powder steel and of course these are not the real watered steel blade.

  • Hi everyone:

I don't expect this film become my top viewed clip.I just took a short film on the forging process for a low cost blade few years ago.Actually our swordsmith-Mr.Zhu is one of the best swrdsmith for real watered steel blade in china.May be we can make another film on the process of watered steel blade in the near fulture.

    Best regards,

    alex

  • jesus guys i am a black smith have done it for years who knows how the chines or the japs got there sword making technics they dont even know most of there own history past 200 years because of wars and other things i do know that folding the iron and carbon over and over compresses the molecules and changes there shap making the iron into steel and much harder

  • @goober20001

What you see here is just a simple cheap blade, sure we also forge watered steel blade.May be we can take some record for you in the futre.

  • In honesty the Katana was a Japanese version of theChinese Dao, India has the Talwar, Arabia has the scimitar, etc. - its just a tool to kill someone with in the end.

  • @MrWer1138 That's true. Evry smith has to make his cheaper "bread and butter" pieces just to keep hs head above water. I would love to see this watered steel blade being made

  • @Midnighter169 i agree on on that level, but it is origionally supposed to be a very spiritual process.

  • @jord505 if the blade cant take that then it shouldnt be made

  • i dont like how he disregards the blad ein such a way to chuck it on the floor like that..

  • Thanks for posting the great vid! As far as the cult of the katana goes I think it's boring and dumb, Musashi the greatest japanese swordsman ever despised the katana.. He used a jian and bokken.

  • @alextse4 i am thinking about buying one of your katanas. I bet i can take one of those crappy factory made katanas and cut it in half with your handmade ones.

  • @alextse4 Yes my friend,I understand :-)
