  • What a beautiful video! thanks for sharing!

  • Ouaip ! dix sept secondes, ça peut effectivement être la mesure d'une vie, d'une simple vie..

  • don't like - 0))))) Good...)

  • After listening to this some 20 years ago as a teen. I considered measuring my life. Robert ist right, 17 seconds will do. He is not to blame.

  • 4 ever .yes - i don't disagree with your assessment of the album- i would say that is a balance view - i was only commenting on the meaning of seventeen seconds - it was one of those popular expressions of the time when the song was wrote - the length of time man has been on the planet - such a shot time to screw it up

  • @jack111911 This has a point, although I think this album was more about capturing emotions and feelings rather than actually using a literal clock in the lyrics. But there's more than one way to interpret this song. And I feel the songs on Seventeen Seconds are at their best when listened to as a whole album.

  • its interesting to put the cure in a a social context - they emerged at the start of Margret thatchers briton-closing of the steel works- coal pits -strikes-riots- duran duran and champagne corks bursting in the city- with a sound so different -it hit a nerve - people reacted - in italy -people protested against them doing a concert - i was in milan at the time - and was stunned by the reaction .

  • @jack111911 i see. i thought about it for awhile, but i don't know about things like 24 hour clocks or whatever out of lazieness. i always look for emotion and more figurative things. that's just my way of thought. that makes perfect sense. robert's a genius.
