This is my 1983 Seagrave 21 seconds at 61mph topped out at 1/4 mile. Was at 50mph at 1/8 mile. Need different ratio rear axle to go faster. Made it to semi-finals dialed in at 21.00 seconds. Knocked out by going too fast. Ran 20.947 on last run and was eliminated from bracket race. 8v92 Detroit diesel rated at about 600 hp at 2300 rpm. Allison automatic trans HD700 series. Engine from Setauket New York. I am from Hagerstown MD. Thanks for watching!
Love the sound of the Detroit revving up. It usually meant water was on the way, and the fight was about to begin.

I wish they still made pumpers like that. The ones we have now are lackluster euro type junk. That's a nice truck. Should still be fighting on the frontline.

Wow, no doubt that was a Detroit 8V92 in the Seagrave...I used to ride a jump seat sitting inches from one, that is a most wonderful sound :^)
