No, this is was cast for audio record and as I said in the video one Nucci was replaced. Here (in Yuotube) there is a video from 1998 MET Gala night with expects from L'elisir, again with Pavarotti but there Nucci is Dulcamara.

Unfortunately, I have never seen Nucci in this role, I can imagine that it was an excellent presentation. However, I think Joan Pons in this was exceptionally well. Are there any clips with Nucci as Belcore on - You Tube?

I compare Pons not with Brent Ellis but with Leo Nucci - he sang Belcore in the audio production with the same cast and Nucci is ways better than Pons.

Forgive me if I answer, but Joan Pons was a fantastic: Belcore! You compare this with the production, sang Judith Blegen the Adina. The singer of Belcore, Brent Ellis, was an kasper, and vocally he could not convince me.

In one, I agree with them. Yes, Luciano Pavarotti he was the best Nemorino!

It's very cute performance but I don't like Pons very much here. For that reason and because of the acting of Pavarotti I like more the 1980 with Blegen performance.

In spite of his mobility (I'm not sure about the word) here Pavarotti still is the best Nemorino ever. Bravo!

I also think that this role fit him very much because he himself was as a mischevous child and nemorino also and of course very romantic and in the end when Luciano call to the doctor and the children running around him I can see he is a liitle smile, very sweet.

thank you dee, this is the my favourite opera of Luciano, but of course I love all what is about Luciano.
