I have maxxis bighorn 265/75/16 on a d40 Nissan frontier. They are almost slicks but I have gotten nearly 55,000 km (34,000 miles).
For a mud terrain they fairly quiet, great traction in the mud or sand. Soon I will be getting the calming 5" lift with 17"x9" XD addicts and 285/70/17. Can't wait!!!!!!
@barrettbud in my opinion they are ALOTTTT quieter. me bud runs those bfgs on his stroker and it is pretty loud goin down the road. i run the terra grappler and dont really hear it at all
I run my Nittos @ 45 lbs ( 06 Dodge 3500 w/ leveling kit) and have got almost two years out of them ( +/-25k) I had them siped ( 1/8" from edge x 1/8" deep every 5/32") for winter - I could probably run them another winter - still have 20% left on them, but will swap them out this fall for another set. I have never ever been stuck with them & find them the best off-road-work tires I have ever had. Yes they are loud, but it is a trade-off: noise for great traction in the slop.
@commonrail24 I know some people that have gotten nearly 30k out of there's. But they were almost completely bald by the time they got that many miles out of en
@ABCMAN94 i hav a regular customer with an 08 dodge diesel with mud grappers and he rotated his every oil change and ran the correct psi and managed 20k out of em
