Cultured diamonds are diamonds through and through, the same as a natural diamonds. The only difference is they are grown in a laboratory. Joseph Schubach, President/CEO, explains the differences between Gemesis cultured diamonds and natural fancy colored diamonds. Joseph Schubach Jewelers was the first in Arizona and one of the first in the country to carry these exciting gemstones.

The biggest known diamond in existence has been found by astronomers , located 50 light years away in the constellation Centaurus
Once believed to be the heart of a star , it is 2,500 miles across & contains ten billion trillion trillion carats
It was named Lucy in honour of the Beatles song '' Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ''

Blues and reds are a lot more readily available since this video was made. Some companies have finished stone available in sizes larger than 2 carats, i.e. up to 4 or 5, according to what I've read.
Some yellow-green color diamonds have also been produced but I don't think anybody offers them commercially, at least not yet.
Colorless stones are being produced in small numbers. They're more difficult to make because nitrogen and hydrogen has to be kept out of the growth chamber.
