Me showing you my solar Christmas setup using a 2000 watt Harbor Freight power inverter modified to a intermatic battery operated timer switch...Also showing my Christmas light show my wife and I set up in front yard.HOHOHO....

  • Nice.. found a charge controller that uses the panel as the timer.Uses the panel photoelectric eye so when the sun goes down the charge controller outputs the power to the inverter. You set the time that you want the lights to stay on with dip switches in the controller.

    Only handles 5 amps.. I have 3 sets of lights on a tree outside so not as demanding as your setup.. Nice!! The company for the charge controller is Ledtronics

  • fanman, any idea what your DoD was per day on the batteries?

  • How many watts were you using for the lights?

  • Wow nice must be a ton of leds since it did not over tax the inverter.
