The epic story of a local village in South Wales joining forces with 'eco-warriors' to try and stop a huge and destructive open cast mine. Protesters took to the trees, living in an elaborate 'sky-village' of interconnected tree houses, in an effort to stop contractors.
The stage was set for a brutal tree-top confrontation with my camera the only record of what happened.
Winner: 1997 Tokyo video festival, 1997 BAVA, 1998 Earthvision. Original is 12 minutes long.
