I am English but have the utmost respect for the USCG having watched The Guardian. They are amazing men and women who do an amazing job. They put RNLI to shame tbh!

My father and uncle were in the coast guard and i couldn't be prouder

@andi19855467 I'm in the coast guard and I training navy people all the time...just because you haven't been fortunate enough to be trained by the coast guard doesn't mean we don't...also I have spend a lot of time in the both the arctic and antiarctic and those aren't are oceans and I have yet to the Navy down there

My husband has been active duty for 9 years now, I'm so proud of him. He's my hero!

My Father did 4 tours in Vietnam naval Special Forces a few years later he joined the USCG. in total he put 33 years into the Military and retired in 2003.. 28 of those years in the USCG.
And I miss living on Military bases and hanging around Coasties. :)
