  • Good stuff. I hear a bit of I see things upside down in this record. That might could work as another title for the model prayer!

  • In the midst of the stress, anxiety, and worry of daily life, somehow, light, warmth, and radiance finds us in small and seemingly insignificant ways. A meditation indeed.

  • @stump325 we have to challenge ourselves into understanding communication and art. Is there something communicated without words? I think so. So what is Derek communicating in this art? He's given a pretty big hint. The music is not trying to expound or explain that verse. It's just communicating that prayer in a different language.

  • @stump325 Haha I suppose it takes a bit of imagination. It's not my project, it's Derek's. Lol.. It's an interesting idea though, and definitely pretty abstract.

  • @kb1686 but how is the meaning of each line of the Lord's Prayer expressed through each piece of music...I'm sure the art work and video help out---but do certain parts of each song..like the rhythm or flow or whatever....coincide with certain parts of the Lords prayer?----how does one actually compose a song for the word 'Amen" haha......I like the music a lot, and I'm a big fan of derek webb...but the concept confuses me a little

  • To those wondering about the message of the music, Derek said last night (as a part of the "Love Tells the Story" Tour) that the music is intended to be a meditation on the Lord's Prayer. There are 9 musical pieces, one for each of the 9 lines of the Lord's Prayer (includes the Amen). There is also accompanying art work and video.

  • @wcr4 hahah.....I don't either, but the music is pretty good

  • Not sure I get the message of this........at all.

  • Excellent work! waiting for the album

  • This album's gonna be fantastic.
