PLEASE WATCH PART ONE FIRST!!!!

I made this for anyone who is thinking about donating themselves. I was kind of scared about it, and it is such an odd thing that it would have been nice to hear other peoples' story. So...here is mine!

P.S. If you have ANY questions, feel free to shoot me a message, comment, vid response, ANYTHING and I promise to respond!

  • I'm not too worried about the scars. I'm kind of a wierdo like that and see them as a blessing in a way because scars to me are like stories of our lives of what we've been through. My only concern I'd say is if it will get in the way of me having children. Other than that I'm cool with it.

  • i'm not a doctor, but i am 99.99% sure that this surgery isn't going to affect you having kids. i know it doesn't affect me, but maybe your surgery is different...

  • Thankyou so much for posting this! You have inspired me to donate! You are so beautiful, never forget that :) Thankyou also for showing your scars because I wanted to know how it would look after my surgery. You are such a blessing. Thank you

  • oh wow, thanks! thats very kind of you, and good luck : ]

  • @greeceonitsknees if your other kidney fails, because you donated you get bumped up to the top of the list! I donated on 1.11.11 I was 18 :)

  • You are very brave! I will donate my kidney too and i am only 24, what scares me the most is that maybe after 15-20 years my other kidney stops functioning!

  • You are wonderful! Thanks for posting this!

  • Thank you so much for the information. I am trying to donate a kidney to a client of mine. I started the testing process. My only hangup is my firm is giving me a hard time about taking time off. I am an attorney and am the low man on the totem pole at work - only been practicing a few years. I mostly sit at my desk, make phone calls, and dictate - when not in court. How soon do you think I could get back to work? It would help if I could give my boss a set time I'll be out. Thanks!!!

  • Thanks for these posts! I had many of the same questions you answered, as my dad will soon need a kidney as well. Continued blessings to you!

  • Thank you so much for this video. I'm donating my kidney to my younger sister on May 4th. Your video made me laugh, cry and smile. Unfortunately, I'm not as brave as you, and I find myself very afraid of the operation. Thank you for showing your scars, they look great! I can relate to you about not wanting to talk about it. I rarely talk about it, but I think about it 24/7. Great video, thank you so much for sharing.

  • Awesome video. I am so glad I found you on here. My dad is in need of a kidney, and I am going to start testing hopefully next month to donate him one of mine. I was super scared and still am, but your video helped me a lot! I will definitely keep in touch!
