This is not a joke. My TX2 went dead and each time I tried to reboot, I got a black screen and blinking caps lock and num lock leds... A big number of people complain about this defect on different forums. I saw this video and I gave it a try and...
It worked fine!!!
So my advice : give it a try before sending it to the dump...
By the way, TX2 is very easy to disassemble. However, you must be very carefull withe the mouse and keybord connectors they are excessively fragile.

Why not just put it in the oven?

Thanks you very much.

How does heating the motherboard chipset repair the GPU problem? Is this sarcasm? Did it go over my head?

do you need to keep heating it up everytime you need to turn it on?
Is there any reason why your computer is running when you did this??
