  • Can this editor be used in my Daw. ie is its VST ?

This is a very poor demo of the editor considering it comes from the actual maker of the synth.

  • @harrymerchant456

We make the hardware, SoundTower makes the software. Currently the editor is not a VST but SoundTower is developing it and we have seen screen shots for it. They have beta testers working on the VST now so it's only a matter of time before it is released.

  • What editor should I use (Tetra's or Mopho's) in order to control the whole polychained set that is conformed by a Mopho Keyboard and a Tetra?

  • @francisco77j

The editor is not set up to work with poly chained instruments. The best way to do it is work with the instrument of your choice, then dump the patches from one instrument to the other when you're done. The Tetra can be connected to the editor and still controlled by the MoPho Keyboard while editing, just turn poly chain off so you don't get a skipped note while playing.

That would be a question for SoundTower. Best guess is a free version of the editor will continue to come with the Tetra and the VST will be available separately through SoundTower, much like their LE and pro versions now.

  • @DaveSmithInstruments

Thanks for the reply I understand what your saying so fair enough..

Ive since watched a few on line demos of the Tetra and it looks like I will be getting a hold of one my self. I was of course looking to see the capabilities of the editor but I was able to download it and its rather comprehensive. The VST compatibility would of course be the icing on the cake.

    Cheers :)

  • @iasonas8 youa re an ignorant and disrespectful !!!!

  • Ok I am ready to buy a dave smith synth !!BUT NOT UNTILL VST!! becomes released

here on the website it says : We are also pleased to announce that Soundtower is working on VST and AU support with a projected release sometime in Q1 of 2009.

Its last Q of 2010 WHERE IS THE PLUGIN????????

  • @DaveSmithInstruments

get another developer! didn't you set a deadline for the vst in your contracts?

really amateur move by them for not being able to deliver a simple vst-editor and much more amateur from you stacking to a skill-less partner...

  • @iasonas8

We're waiting for the VST too! We don't make software, we make hardware. The software developer SoundTower is responsible for the VST so as soon as they have completed it we'll be offering it to you.
