I like how Sony actually uses the real in game footage for their videos. Where as Blizzard has to use CG video to make their games look cooler than they are. I forget who does the music but I know the music in EQ2 is performed by a full symphony. They also used motion capture with the lead martial artists who trained the actors from the Matrix for the fighting in EQ2. I quit WoW after a month of play(got max lvl) and now i've been playing eq2 for 3 years and couldn't be happier.

I agree 100% Macca. Its cool how WoW is seamless, but I don't mind the quick loading in eq2, since it brings stunning visuals and better detailed zones. They've really improved the PvP servers over the years, I have a 20 swash and its a blast. Compared to when the game first came out I had an old computer so I was on low end graphics. Just got a new one, play on Max everything even on raid, its a WHOLE NEW GAME!

This "old" trailer has footage from the new expansion being realeased 2010. How old do you really think it is?

I got rid of EverQuest2 on my computer about two months ago, due to the fact that playing for five years straight can really kill the motivation to keep playing. However, the need to play is still pulling me back. I think I'll download it again tonight.

Besides taking away pvp level locking the game has become way better than when it was first released. Only thing left for SOE to do is advertise this game.

Mifo, when did you played EQ2 last time?:))
RoK and TSO have brought so much group and raidcontent, that soloplay is absolutely not an option now. And new Bosses are very good now - no mythic gonna save your hide! :)

This old trailer make me so sad because I have played EQ2 for fast 5 years (last 3 years only for my friends) and the eq2 game systen & features from the release ist nothing more.
The old game play is no more,now ist a casual game too easy to play and too much solo concept.

I guess it is all about the play style choices people make. As a long time EQ player, I'm excited everytime I see this video. May be with your words it shows me "how cool it actually is" than many can not see...
