  • Is this "Devil Town" by Daniel Johnston? lol

  • No, but that's a good one too.

  • it's called "Mansinneedof" from her cd that comes out tomorrow. good stuff. this and the other instrumental, "Fischer Store Road," are my favorite cuts from the record. very talented young lady.

  • I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that she was up on stage playing alongside David Grisman when she was twelve. To say she's no David Grisman, or Sam Bush is a useless statement. She's still a teenager for god's sake...she is an extraordinary talent and one that I hope to hear a lot more of in the years to come!

  • Such talent at an early age. So very nice. What a team !

  • Say what you will, but that is a very mature composition. More importantly, her playing is very mature for her age in this video. I'm with vbruno57, to compare her, at age 17, with seasoned musicians who have had many, many years of experience is to lose sight of the fact that she still has all those many years ahead of her.

    I enjoyed this composition immensely.

  • Nice stuff. And folks--who the @#$#% cares who's better?!

  • @bigdjindustriez ask Sam Bush or David Grisman what they think. They can barely remember when they were seventeen. My favorite mandolin player is Jethro Burns.

  • This song has a lot of soul. Love it!

  • @mapworks Try not to talk yourself into a corner. While Sarah is a VERY good player, she's no Sam Bush, David Grisman, Adam Steffey.. or Chris Thile for that matter. However, one of my favorite mando players ever is Sierra Hull.

  • Jamima222 should get used to the fact that women can play as well and in this case better than men.

  • Jake Jolliff is a way better player but shes a great singer.

  • Watch out Sierra Hull - this lady is right on your heels and looking to pass you in the fast lane! She's just plain awesome!
