  • This is the shit

  • I attended a few of Barney's seminars and I remember someone asking him why he had obliterated the name 'Gibson' from the headstock of his guitar and he said that Gibson had declined to pay him for endorsing their guitars.

  • Terrific treatment1 But why did Barney cover up the GIBSON name on his headstock?

  • Herb and Barnie (RIP) be burnin'.

  • This is just beautiful. So soft and yet so melodic at times. Thanks for posting this. I saw barney in the eighties but I sadly never saw Herb. Two great players.

  • Herb started playing the fast stuff after playing in those duo/trio combos with Joe Pass.

Either that or he was trying to blow Barney off the stage! :-)

    CHW

  • Nobody rocks those tasteless 70s threads like Mr. BK, although this is probably an 80s joint.

  • Looks like Herb had to much coffee, or something... He didn's used to play fast lines like here. Gem :D

  • 1:14 - What the hell is happenin' !? :O

  • He's playing Aria here...never heard him play this fast...
