@octavianut- Hehe, could be :) Here in America, Autocross is on pavement, rallycross is dirt and/or gravel (of course, here in the south, they usually just call it a 'dirt rally'). Greetings from Virginia!

I totally just checked the Wikipedia, so in case anyone gives either of us any further grief, " In the United Kingdom it is known as autosolo and autocross refers to a similar sport that is held on unpaved surfaces like grass and dirt (also see SCCA RallyCross)."

@bradslilchica Wow easy there Ireland isnt part of the Uk! hahahah. its all the same thing anyway. Driving a car as fast as you can around a track of some description.

@octavianut- Actually, Phoenix is correct that this isn't an autocross. As a matter of fact, I'll be participating (not driving, as of yet) in the VA Commonwealth Games autocross event tomorrow and Sunday. Autocross is done on straight asphalt.

@bradslilchica Maybe where you come from it is...... In Ireland this is defined as an Autocross event.

this is a rallycross....not an autocross. rallycrossers do it in the dirt :-)

@PhoenixAcres No it is an Autocross, The circuit is all gravel, and the cars are on gravel tyres. Rallycross is on a mixed surface between Tarmac and Gravel, using tarmac tyres. :)
