Lucky Bags 福袋

At New Year in Japan, special discount bags are sold, called Lucky Bags (or Happy Bags). These bags usually have values much greater than the cost of the bag, and come with a little fun too. Sometimes designers will release special edition products in the bags only. While some bags are highly sought-after and sell out within minutes, others languish for more than a week.

This year there seems to be a high number of languishing bags, but I suspect that's because of the Christmas bags that were everywhere in December...

@jade2dragon Yeah, but that makes sense. Jlist sells Japanese products.  Granted, it sells abroad, but still, it makes sense to me.

Glad to see you making new vids. As for the bags, i think it would be a good thing in the US. Good way to get rid of overstock items. However i have a bad feeling some sort of violence would ensue either with not getting what you want or swapping with others. : (

Perhaps we are putting the wrong kind of emphasis on people? People often do wrong because they assume they will fall behind because others will also do wrong. But if we all refrain from it then nobody falls behind and everybody wins. To that end, if we personally don't do anything wrong and set good examples (trading, etc.) it should encourage the same from others, right?

There are lucky bags in Malaysia too but only in Isetan department stores in KL :(

random question: is there a lot of yugioh in japan cuz at my school we have this nerdy area called the dueling square (i hang out there) and i was woundering if japan has a lot of ppl or kids that play yugioh btw i hate that i play im 17 playing a childs card game but im hooked plz tell meeeee @:D
