While seeing this it gave me the chills. My husband was on this deployment with VFA--41 and I was there picking him up that day! Totally awesome and thanks a bunch!!!

My husband was aboard that deployment; is there anyway to pass on a hard copy of that video... We were so excited to have him home that we have no footage of it!!

Several years ago the carriers couldn't berth at a dock.The water around Diego and Coronado or North Island was too shallow.The carriers has to drop anchor out in the bay. The sailors had to water taxi ashore.That was b4 the CVA's became CVN's.

I was lucky to have been on ship with the Tiger Cruise, returning to the San Diego with this fine group of young men and women. The reception these young folks received was heart warming. Thanks for the video and the music!
