Maple Box Turning Pt.1 of 2

In this video I show the making of a beautiful spalted maple wooden box with a really delicate purpleheart stand with shaped legs. A more advanced turning on the woodturning lathe than usuall but a really great woodturning project using some really nice hardwood.

Just a paste wax, I think that is what you are refering to.

@Larenzoid I know what ya mean. It's a cheap one from Chicago tools but I bought a 14x43 I think lathe.

Works good but needs a motor upgrade.  It does what I need will buy a better one later.

Nice box, Alex. I'd love to get a DVR-XP also, or even just a 14" lathe. I'm getting tired of being stuck below 10" diameter. One of these days...
