@SundiMundi If you like banana's & you like peanut butter they are great.Eating them fried or unfried is good,I fry mine in butter just you make a grilled cheese gotta have milk though,if you don't have a tall cold glass of milk then your wasting your time. LOL !

@SundiMundi Well it's hard telling probably.I grew up eating them and still eat them and I'm from the south but like I said I never seen them in restaurants until after Elvis died.But who knows,anything is possible I guess.

I'm guessing he probably told them how to make it, and since he was the king people probably threw things on the menu just for him.

I think someone is full of crap in this video.The sandwich was never served in restaurants,it was in fact very southern.A lot of people ate it "unfried" which is also good.Elvis mother made him these sandwich's when he was a child,so it was a comfort food later in life,as well as being damn good.

Not only did he use bacon fat to fry (in addition to butter), he did sometimes put bacon in the sandwich.
