Civilian Observer - Cincinnati Police Department

Ride along with the men and women of District 1 of the Cincinnati Police Department. Photographs are from a photojournalism essay done in February and March of 2008 for my Vico 222 class at Ohio University. District One comprises the riverfront, Mt. Adams and Over-The-Rhine. Photographs are from three separate "ridealongs" with three different CPD officers. Special thanks to the wonderful men and women of the CPD for making this happen!

@Bushiey it still is! only its shifted toward poor people no matter what.. because the economy is getting worse because of all the regulations ohio puts on us... we dont need to be paying for these douchbags to drive around the street wasting money on people who havent commited a crime! go look at the downtown court room its full of wasted money... fuck the cincinnati police!

You have to admit, 10-15 years ago, Cincinnati was extremely racist. I remember cops attempting to abuse my mother, they took her out and punched her, but my grandfather was there, and well, he was a vet, marine corporal.

He slowly and sneakily got out of the car, and busted them in the back of the head, and knocked them both out from behind. Was crazy.

Case was dismissed in court, grandfather had friends in high places.

Cops also suspended indefinitely.
