Humanae Vitae clearly teaches that it is morally wrong both to have oneself sexually sterilized and to engage in contraceptively sterilized intercourse. I understand the Church's point...but WHO can afford 8-10 children these days?? Is the Church going to help support all those children?? Think about it!

well, I know vasectomies are horrible. maybe not at first, but it affects a marriage. I wasnt at full agreement with hubbys, but I thought well if he doesnt want more kids with me, what can i do. so I agreed. 17 yrs later, I feel like a piece of meat in bed & used. he still justifies his choice & he said he confessed it and the priest said its fine....just say some hail marys. um, why not say, get a reversal...at least try to make it right!!! im so angry.

if the pope was middle class, worked full time with 2 kids, i think he would change his mind about this. i would rather be able to take care of the kids i have and still have a sexual relationship with my husband as god intented than have 20 kids i cant take care of. Andrea yates ring any bells? is the pope saying an mentally unstable mother that kills her kids is better than getting her tubes tied? hes not god, and its blasphamy to presume so.
